Imperial College Engineering Geomatics Group

Welcome to the Imperial College Engineering Geomatics Group (ICEGG) website. Geomatics is the field of activity which integrates the acquisition, processing, analysis and display of spatial information. It includes the traditional and new disciplines of photogrammetry and remote sensing, land and engineering surveying, geographical information systems, cartography, geodesy, hydrography, cadastral surveying, land information management, mining surveying, satellite-based positioning and navigation, and a wide variety of location-based services.

The ICEGG is based at the Centre for Transport Studies, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London. The group also includes the London Centre for GNSS Research (LCGR) which is a joint initiative between Imperial College London and UCL. Our teaching activities cover Surveying, Engineering Geomatics, Highway Engineering and Transport Telematics. We conduct fundamental and applied research in the following three areas:

If you would like further information on any of our activities we would be delighted to provide it.
